The difficulties met in the manufacturing of diesel engine's bell housing are analyzed for its technology development. The problems which may occur during the manufacturing is discussed specifically. Rational technological process, as well as applicable fixtures and cutting tools were developed with a view to solving these problems, which guarantee the dimension precision and tolerance requirements. Small-batch trail production verifies that traditional technology and fixtures can satisfy the high-precision requirements for the manufacturing of bell housing.
